Catcher

A gymnast performing in an aerial act who, having arranged themselves on the apparatus (for example, the trapeze), grasps it with their legs (by the side ropes) or hangs on elbow support (in loping or frame) head down. In this position, they catch and toss their partners who are performing flights from the catcher's hands onto trapezes and flying back.
