Ladder

An apparatus used in various acts; for example, in antipodists' work where a performer, while lying on trink, balances a ladder on their feet, whilst another performer works on it. A freely standing ladder has legs that are slightly loaded in order to make it more steady, so that several acrobats, a juggler and other circus people can work on it.
